The Marianist education is grounded in the  values of faith, community service and respect, providing much needed direction  in discussions about artificial intelligence. Rather than looking at AI  exclusively as a subject of a technological nature, Marianist universities can  create an interdisciplinary curriculum combining theology, philosophy, science,  business and the social sciences, allowing students to focus simultaneously on  the concepts of innovation and ethics. Maintaining a faith-based approach,  Marianist universities can help students realize all individuals are valuable  and knowledge should be used to benefit others, especially the most disadvantaged.  By sharing their research with the world, we can demonstrate leadership in  moral and educational ways, educating well-informed and qualified graduates who  are compassionate and responsible in their application of AI.
