A Marianist education has not only transformed my life and my vocation, it has shaped them entirely. There are two characteristics I hope to take with me once I leave St. Mary’s. The first is an altruistic willingness to contribute to the common good. Seeing how closely Marianist professed and laity work collaboratively to provide a quality, integral education motivates me to give my best effort in return. The second is the idea of servant leadership and how to best implement it. One of my favorite aspects about the Marianist Province is the embodiment of a discipleship of equals and making everyone feel valued. Hopefully, the desire to one day have my own children be educated in the Marianist tradition is a good start towards saying ‘thank you.’”
