Marianist higher education has been around for just over 175 years. In that time, there have been significant changes to the ways we educate, to the programs we offer, and to the technology we have at our disposal. It is a great comfort to me that adaptation and change is built into our Characteristics of Marianist Education.

The Marianist education is grounded in the  values of faith, community service and respect, providing much needed direction  in discussions about artificial intelligence. Rather than looking at AI  exclusively as a subject of a technological nature, Marianist universities can  create an interdisciplinary curriculum

The world of teaching and learning has felt off balance since late 2022, when generative AI quickly appeared on college campuses. But in many ways, that’s nothing new. Before AI, it was the pandemic, smartphones, Chegg, laptops, and everything else reshaping how we teach and learn.
